Building Encouragement

This Friday was a pretty cool day.  I got to spend a bit of time with some new friends who gae some of my new pieces the run through.  I got some good feedback, and am excited to be in the shop again!

April Showers

Well,  as expected, there has been a ton of guitar work coming through this month.  I have delivered 4 guitars this month, with another one shortly coming.  Then, I have gotten a good deal done in general.  In sequence below, you can see 1. vacuum pressing a flamed koa drop top to an aspen core 2. gluing steve's coco back to his sides 3.  finishing the kerfed lining installation on Corey's GA 4. The body parts of a 5 string walnut singlecut bass (this walnut is sick!) 5. the koa topped mahogany single bass body parts 6. Steve's coco GA 'boat' waiting for a top.

Jake's GA - Almost Done

Well, this bad boy made its first noise this morning, so that was really exciting for me.  Aside from the fact that the first strum after putting strings on a new guitar sounds more akin to a cough, I am really excited about the potential this guitar offers.  I think Jake is going to love it.
